Keely Herron is a speaker, writer and mental health advocate.
For more than 15 years working in advertising agencies and marketing, Keely spent thousands of hours trying to understand why people make the choices they make and how to create behavior change through strategic communications.
These days, she applies this approach to the important challenges we face as humans. Her mission is to spark conversations that promote positive behavior change, defeat stigma, heal trauma, and reduce suffering for all beings.
She is available for speaking engagements on her personal experience with mental illness, suicide, sexual violence, trauma, invisible disabilities and Complex PTSD. Her talk “Leaving the Cult of Happiness” given at TEDx Jackson Hole in 2017 has been viewed more than 365,000 times.
Her career in business and advertising has taken her from Minneapolis, to New York, Barcelona, and London. She is currently based in Minneapolis, MN.
She has a BA in Journalism from the University of Minnesota, and an MBA from ESADE in Barcelona, Spain.
